We were behind the sheds combing the just walked five dogs- Lara, Kara, Lindzie, Puhcho and Joujka. Me (Desi), My friend Danny and our teacher were with those five dogs, combing them. There were new dogs coming to the shelter by small bus. The pals we were with behind started barking, alerted by the newbies. The bus stopped by Gaby's shed. She was in a shed with The Grandpa and Delphina (another dog you are soon going to know more about).

As our 5 buddies calmed down, we continued to brush them, until that same smiley face showed up, her mouth covered in blood, one of her legs too. (Honestly she looked like she came out of a horror movie) With all 5 dogs barking and the overly-friendly Gaby, my first thought was that one of the new dogs was placed in their cage and she ran away, so I went to catch her before she runs away from the shelter. When I bent to her she laid on the ground for tummy scratches and I did as requested from the smiley girl just to keep her busy. When the son of one of the vets came I asked him to give me a leash. He ran to get one, though his mother arrived before him and carried Gaby like a baby to the cage. She refused to get in and almost ran away again, The Grandpa tried to run away too (the anticipation for walks) and the door refused to open.

In the end the door opened, The Grandpa didn't run out and Gaby was taken inside the cage with the leash on. Oh! And the fence was fixed! Turns out she bit the fence just to run away and had a few bruises in the mouth and one cut on the back left leg, Probably when jumping of the fence. Thankfully it was nothing serious. But as established she is horrified by cars!
